Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for the forecasting, reporting, and monthly close processes.

Analyze actual results compared to forecast and budget.

Participation of monthly close process (reclasses, accruals, incentive compensation); ensure entries are properly recorded by Corporate Accounting.

Responsible for quarterly business reviews and annual plan.

Analyze balance sheet and income statement trends

Ad hoc analysis and special projects are an essential component of the position.

Partner with business heads to review results, implement strategic changes and to re-forecast.

Responsible for the financial modeling and presentation of the business reviews and plan.

Meet with senior investment bankers to collect/track monthly backlog information.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in accounting and/or finance – CPA. MBA is a plus.

2-4 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis and accounting.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to influence and demonstrate confidence in communications with senior management.

Strong leadership, organizational and analytical and interpersonal skills are required.

Must be self-motivated/self-starter with the ability to work independently to resolve problems with limited information.

Team player possessing a strong work ethic.
