Job Description

Responsibilities

Leverage established programming standards, methods, and best practices to help solve challenging programming challenges

Perform analysis of business models, logical specifications, and/or application requirements to design and build solutions utilizing multiple technologies.

Design, implement, and perform analytics on database components for a variety of applications

Maintain and modify APIs, web application backends and administration systems; make approved changes by amending application documentation, developing detailed programming logic, and coding changes.

Provide support for critical web application problems and issues.

Serve as a technical SME to help identify and address critical areas of concern across multiple applications.

Knowledge share with the development team

Project and task management and reporting as necessary

Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies

Assist with other projects as may be required to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the work

Ensure the technical feasibility of Product requirements and solutions

Skills

5+ years’ experience as a Software Developer working with modern web applications and tooling (e.g. Git, APIs, CI/CD etc.)

3+ years working with customers to build and formulate business requirements.

5+ years’ experience working on all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.

5+ years of PHP development experience building applications and APIs (experience with Laravel
Framework preferred)

3+ years of asynchronous software architecture implementation

3+ years of REST architecture development

3+ years of Database and Data caching experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis etc.)

3+ years of web application server technologies (Apache, NGinx, Varnish etc.)

3+ years working with AWS Cloud Infrastructure and Application services

3+ years working with Node.JS (or willingness to learn)

Familiar with Javascript frameworks such as jQuery or Vue.js

Able to work in a fast-paced, virtual environment

Big Pluses / Nice to have

Amazon AWS Cloud certification
