Job Description
Sr. Financial Analyst position will be responsible for supporting analysis of company financial and operating performance through review of financial data and KPIs.
The individual will be involved in annual/quarterly planning, results preparation, internal reporting, and ad-hoc project support.
The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter with superior communication skills and experience understanding business drivers.
In addition, the Senior Analyst must be able to work independently, as well as within a group environment, to generate and present project conclusions to corporate business partners.
Duties & Responsibilities: • Supports monthly closing, reporting, and analysis of financial results and operating metrics including review of underlying data to ensure accuracy and integrity of information presented.
• Explanation of variances vs. budget/forecast to leadership and business partners
• Summarization and consolidation of business unit and department level financial and operating data •
Participation in the creation of monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages
• Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
• Enhance current reporting, develop value-added reporting to drive business success, and create efficiencies for reporting.
• Assist in projects requiring interaction with VPs, Directors and Managers across company.
• Other duties as assigned. Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role required, preferably in a matrixed corporate setting.
• Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
• Ability to build effective relationships across business functions at all management levels
• Enhanced analytical skills, including the ability to manipulate and summarize data
• Able to work independently and develop trust-based relationships with business and finance partners •
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Hyperion and Essbase Education / Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business related field required.
• CPA/MBA preferred. Skills:
• Analytical focus and creating action plans from data/trends
• Problem solving skills identifies and solves for difficult to complex problems with effective solution
• Strong verbal and written communication skills ability to express oneself clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles.
• Developing relationships building rapport, cultivating relationships and driving collaboration across broadly defined business teams.
