CLOUD SOLUTIONS ENGINEER - AWS A global digital solutions firm is actively seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Engineer to focus on their US clientele. The Cloud Solutions Engineer should have a strong background in AWS development to help customers design and build cloud native applications and guide them through a cloud migration of existing applications. The Cloud Solutions Engineer must be knowledgeable and customer-oriented and should have previous experience in a consultative role. Communication is everything so presentation skills are a must-have in addition to superior technical expertise and a problem-solving aptitude. Responsibilities Understand customer requirements and business objectives Provide strategic advice on using technology to achieve goals Manage cloud initiatives and collaborate with in-house technical staff Design cutting-edge cloud architecture Support new technology implementation Train users in new cloud platforms Provide assistance with technical issues Revise existing systems and suggest improvements Produce reports Collaborate with Partners and work alongside the rest of the team. Requirements 2+ years AWS cloud development or consultancy experience Proven experience as IT consultant (+5 years) Work experience with cloud migration and cloud native application AWS services suite knowledge API layers Azure services suite knowledge is an asset Work experience with JAVA based CMS or DAM Work experience with JAVA and Javascript development Vue.js knowledge is an asset Strong presentation and negotiation skills An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities Excellent interpersonal skills High level of technology awareness Work experience with agile methodologies and agile organization Work experience with remote teams collaborations Team spirit and excellent communication abilities Excellent organizational skills Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and JIRA Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field Work experience in SAFe organization is an asset AWS certifications (associate or professional level) Languages: Fluent spoken and written English
