QA Tester

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide technical support for and final review and approval of customer complaint investigations

Create testing documentation such as Test plan, test matrix, test traceability and evidence documentation.

Execute different type of testing such as Manual, automated, negative, backend testing.

Partner with engineers on a fast-paced team to drive the QA efforts, supporting several applications to identify and resolve defects

Facilitate the execution of Risk Management activities for new project.

Support validations for new and existing products, processes and methodologies.

Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement

Interact and coordinate activities with other departments, external vendors and customers

Collect and report metrics and data as required

Perform other Quality System related duties as required

Create and execute automated test cases.

REQUIRED SKILLSET:

2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance

Experience with industry standard QA practices (black box testing, risk based testing, system testing, regression testing, exploratory testing practices)

Strong technical competency in an OOP language such as C#.NET for QA.(comprenhensive)

Experience in test automation tools preferably in PowerShell.

Strong experience writing queries in SQL.

Team player with excellent communication skills (oral and written) to partner technically with Application
Architects, Development, QA/Testing organizations and Business teams

Working knowledge of Agile, Iterative development process and methodologies is essential

Strong problem-solving skills including ability to disseminate complex ideas in a simplified fashion

Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Experience in API and WebServices testing (e.g. Postman, SOAP UI) and understanding of data formats like JSON and XML

Experience testing reports from DWH.

Experience testing Batch processes.

PREFERRED SKILLSET:

Hands on experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration tools (GIT etc) is preferred

Knowledge on General Ledger and Dual entry accounting.

Experience using Test Drive.

Manage project, test artifacts and execution in TFS and Confluence

Strong experience managing/manipulating data with excel (transpose, formulas, vlookup functions, pivot tables)

Testing experience in Salesforce platforms

EDUCATION:

Associates degree or equivalent experience.
