Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Design and develop extremely reliable, secured, scalable and high performing code for customer facing websites and web services for vendor integrations

Produce high level design document, provide quick estimates for projects/tasks and develop code based on end to end understanding of the system

Communicate effectively with business units to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions

Identify the need, evaluate and implement reusable frameworks and components to accelerate development

Work with other team members on application and content architecture based on long term strategy

Define standards and implementation/enforcing of coding best practices

Write unit test cases to test the software before passing it on to the testing team

Understand business requirements and develop iterative prototypes based on requirements

Minimum level of Education, Study, & Experience

4 year Degree in Computer Science

8 years experience

Design and implementation of enterprise web applications (required)

Competencies/Skills Required

Branding experience for Publishing Sites with Sitecore and Visual Studio

Strong experience leading integration projects and writing scalable web services for
consumption by vendor applications.

Strong experience with Agile and software development process in general

Strong Experience with ASP.NET, HTML, DHTML, CSS, Jquery, and JavaScript/AJAX Strong experience with creating Page Layouts and Master Pages

Strong experience with jQuery and jQuery UI

Strong experience with MVC, WCF, REST Services

Good experience with search crawl optimization

Good experience with OWASP concepts and security best practices

Understand browser-specific compatibility issues and device specific issues

Expertise in the design patterns, implementation, and deployment of user-centric web sites, with focus on usability

Object Oriented Programming experience with ASP.NET and the Microsoft.Net framework (C#
preferred).

Good working knowledge of SQL Server and SQL Reporting Services

Experience using Visual Studio, unit testing tools and continuous integration tools

Knowledge of security standards and techniques for web applications

Worked with Web Services, XML, and XSLT.
